Build resilience in Work and Life
Wellbeing is more than the absence of illness — it’s a dynamic state of physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional balance. In both the workplace and life, it forms the foundation for sustainable performance, meaningful relationships, and overall fulfilment.
Resilience is the ability to adapt, recover, and stay grounded during times of pressure, uncertainty, or change. It’s not about being unaffected by stress, but about developing the inner resources and mindset to navigate challenges without losing yourself in the process.
In high-demand environments, wellbeing and resilience are essential. Research points to the fact that 10% of happiness is generated by things that happen to us, and 90% on how we see the world (Dr Sonja Hyubomisrsky)
Cultivating qualities through intentional practices — such as self-awareness, understanding your thinking traps, self-care through good nutrition, regular exercise, sufficient sleep and mindfullness coupled with positive relationships and support with a good sense of purpose— allows people to thrive, not just survive, in the face of life’s demands.
As I journeyed through life, I realized how imperfect things can get, how essential it is to accept reality or life for what it is, and then the importance of developing the ability to recover quickly and to move forward in a purposeful and healthy way.
